Mission: To provide assistance and uplifting support for residents of Independence in need, with a free weekly NEIGHBORHOOD DINNER in an environment of warm welcome, loving acceptance and good fellowship
The Stone Church Neighborhood Dinner provides assistance and uplifting support for all the residents of Independence in need with a free hot meal every Wednesday evening at 6:00 in an environment of warm welcome, loving acceptance and good fellowship. More than a meal, the Neighborhood Dinner offers onsite services and resources including a lending library, clothing distribution, ecumenical chaplains, personal hygiene items, access to essential social services, and much more. The Stone Church has recently partnered with the Community Services League, an organization that has long been supporting the Neighborhood Dinner, to ensure that the Neighborhood Dinner continues to serve the homeless and at-risk families for years to come. Financial donations can be processed through the Truman Heartland Community Foundation.
